How is Custom Embroidery Priced?

EmbroideryWe believe in transparent pricing for our customers, so here we detail a full explanation for all possible embroidery costs.  We’ve made some changes in 2019, and don’t want anything to come as a surprise to you. The biggest change involves calculating the cost of your embroidered design by the number of stitches in your design, rather than a flat rate per logo. The second biggest change involves a different pricing formula for Customer Provided garments.

For Any Garments You Order Through Us

The cost for your piece price is calculated and discounted based on the total quantity of garments you order, plus the number of stitches in your embroidery design, per piece/location.

So # of pieces + # of stitches = your price.  The more you order, the less your price per piece, based on our standard quantity discount breaks (5, 10, 15, 25, 50, 75, 100, 150, 225, 350, 500, 1000, 2000, 2000+).

  • For all orders over 5 pieces, your embroidery setup is now included.
  • For orders under 5 pieces, there is a $35 one time setup fee to have your design digitized for the embroidery process.
  • Regarding quotes:  for all new designs, we will provide a quote range for various stitch count options (between 8,000-14,000 stitches). We charge $1.00 per 1,000 stitches.
  • After a $35 nonrefundable deposit on any order, we will determine stitch count and provide you with an exact quote.  This process may take up to 3 business days.
  • Adding custom embroidered names are priced according to average stitch count for names.

What does this mean for the cost of your embroidery design? It depends on how many stitches you have in your design. For some customers, their cost will be a little less, and for other customers the cost will be a little more.  Please contact us if you have any questions about how this affects your pricing.

For All Customer Provided Garments

We calculate your cost per piece by the number of stitches in your embroidery design, per piece/location, plus a service fee based on the total number of customer provided items.

So # of stitches + service fee per piece = your price. The more you order, the less your service fee per piece, based on our standard quantity discount breaks, shown above.  If we don’t think we can achieve a quality result with your customer provided items, we reserve the right to refuse those items.

  • For all new embroidery designs there is a $35 setup fee.
  • The service fee covers the time we spend handling your garments. This includes removing bags, stickers, organizing per size/color, photographing garments for art mockups, time spent setting up and embroidering your garments, and our garment replacement guarantee.
  • The garment replacement guarantee covers refunding or replacing your customer provided garment if an error occurs during the decoration process.
  • Regarding quotes:  for all new designs, we will provide a quote range for various stitch count options (between 8,000-14,000 stitches). We charge $1.00 per 1,000 stitches.
  • After a $35 deposit (nonrefundable) on any order, we will determine stitch count and provide you with an exact quote.  This process may take up to 3 business days.
  • Adding custom embroidered names are priced according to average stitch count for names.

Embroidered Monograms

We now offer a special $15 setup price for embroidered monograms. We have a large selection of fonts and styles to choose from. If the monogram is embroidered on items ordered from us and includes more than 5 pieces, this setup fee is waived.

Custom Thread Colors

We offer more than 50 stock thread colors to match your branding guidelines. If you need a unique thread color that we don’t offer, we can always order a custom matching batch of thread spools for your order at a cost of $45.

Turnaround Time
