Homer Soda Fest T-Shirts

May 19, 2016

We’re excited to be live screen printing Homer Soda Fest t-shirts this year!  Our booth will have four different t-shirt designs you can choose from, and we’ll screen print it right in front of you. If you’re curious about screen printing, we love to answer questions.  Some people like to get more hands on and give screen printing a try themselves!

Homer Soda Fest Event Details

Saturday, June 4th 2016 | 10:00 AM – 7:00 PM | Downtown Homer, IL

We’ve had the honor of printing Homer Soda Company’s t-shirts since 2013, and this year we asked the folks there if we could offer extra limited edition designs for the festival, and we were glad when they were excited about the idea too.  We opened it up as a contest for all the artists at our print shop to submit their designs for the Homer Soda Fest t-shirts, and two designs were selected as the winners.

About the Artists & Homer Soda Fest T-Shirts

Homer Soda Fest T-Shirt

Tifani Vancil, our Art Director at Weiskamp, hand drew this design digitally. Reminiscent of a simpler time, this Vintage Americana style t-shirt design was inspired from looking through dozens of vintage soda posters.  The two color design makes use of halftones to give the design more depth and texture.  Tifani’s fresh and fun style definitely shows through in this design, and surely makes you thirsty for a soda!

All designs will be printed on super soft Bella+Canvas ringspun cotton shirts.

Warren Bensken, our previous art Director who now works remotely from the East Coast, designed this classic retro t-shirt.  Inspired from the iconic water tower in downtown Homer, this lightly distressed design captures the nostalgia of a midwestern small town.

The third design (the featured image and below) is the classic Homer Soda Company t-shirt that is available year round in their general store.

Isaac Mitchell, Homer Soda Company’s graphic designer and marketing guru, does all their design work,  including their t-shirt and poster designs. Given his background in printmaking and design, Isaac prefers a traditional, hands on approach that gives his work a very distinct look and feel.  Learn more about Isaac’s services as a designer here.

The fourth design will also be designed by Isaac, but we like a little mystery and know you like surprises too, so you’ll have to stop by our booth at the show to see the final design for this year’s special edition Homer Soda Fest T-Shirts!
